The meeting of the representatives of intellectual property offices of the so-called extended Visegrad Groups countries was held this autumn on 13 October in Opatija, hosted by the State Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Croatia.The Visegrad Group (V4) reflects the efforts of the countries of the Central European region to cooperate more closely in a number of areas of common interest within the framework of pan-European integration.

Nikola Tesla, indisputably one of the greatest minds of technology and science of all times was born on 10 July 1856th in the village of Smiljan (Ličko-Senjska County). By the decision of the Croatian Parliament, July 10 has been declared a National day of Nikola Tesla, the day of science, technology and innovation.

On 17 May, 2023, the European Commission published the Report on the Protection and Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in third countries. The Report identifies countries outside of the European Union (third countries) in which, following the analyses and results of targeted consultation, the state of IPR protection and enforcement is not at a satisfactory level.
