How to pay patent renewal fees
Renewal fees are to be paid annually for the third and every subsequent year, counting from the filing date of an application. The annual fee is subject to an increase if paid later than the due date (in additional 6 months period, specified fee amounts shall be doubled).
The Office informs the applicant/holder of a patent of non-payment of renewal fees and consequences thereof.
Payments can be made by bank transfer or via Internet banking.

IMPORTANT:
- All payments must include the name of the patent applicant/holder and one of the following information:
- the complete application/patent number or
- the complete European patent number
They should be entered in the free text field of the payment order!
- Payment informations such as MODEL and PNB numbers must be included!
- Contact address is recommended.
- Additional exchange and/or bank fees are to be carried by the payer separately, so as not to reduce the amount of the respective annual fee.
- The accepted currencies for fees payment are: EUR, USD, NOK, SEK, CHF, GBP, DKK, CAD and JPY. The relevant exchange rate is the middle exchange rate of the Croatian National Bank (HNB).
- The payment date is considered to be the date on which the payment is received at the account of the State Budget of the Republic of Croatia. The order date of the payment is irrelevant.
- The evidence of payment should be submitted to the Office either by e-mail or other suitable means.
WARNING: if the legally prescribed fee amount would not be correct, the right will be lost!
